1.) At the time of sale, the above puppy/dog has been determined to be in excellent health to the best of our knowledge. All required vaccinations and dewormings have been performed which were due for the age of the puppy/dog. A health record will be given to indicate the dates of care to allow your vet to continue with any additional vaccinations/dewormings that may be necessary. We advise the Buyer, that a licensed veterinarian should examine the new puppy within a 72 hour period after receipt of the puppy/dog. If the veterinarian finds this animal to be in poor health, the puppy/dog will be returned immediately at the expense of the Buyer. A puppy/dog replacement of equal value will be offered unless other mutually agreed arrangements are decided upon. Failure to follow the recommendations of an examination within the 72 hours will void this warranty.

2.) If determined by a competent licensed veterinarian and the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) or (SV) , the said puppy has a genetic defect which has developed into crippling hip dysplasia or other crippling disease, within the first eighteen months of life, the puppy should immediately be returned to us at the expense of the Buyer. We will replace the puppy as soon as possible with a puppy of equal value to the said animal at the time of the original Page 1of 4 purchase. We will reserve the right to have the x-rays sent to a certified veterinarian radiologist of our choice. Should the Buyer prefer to retain the said dog, the Buyer will forfeit any replacement unless other mutually agreed arrangements are decided upon.

3.) In any event that the Buyer is unable to keep the puppy/dog for any reason, the Buyer agrees to give Vom Faehnrich the first right to take the puppy/dog back. In the event of a resale, the original Buyer must notify Vom Faehnrich prior to any arrangement for approval of new home and proof of the new owner’s contact information. The new owner will be obligated to resume the registered name of the puppy/dog for registration purposes. It is the obligation of the Buyer to uphold this.

4.) Puppies/dogs need proper food and supplements to ensure their proper development. We ask that you use our choice of NuVet Plus and NuJoint Plus supplements to continue the proper immune system and health of the puppy. Failure to do this voids the warranty agreement. This must be accomplished for a minimum of the first 12 months of life. It should be a life-time plan. Your dog is what it eats and needs careful considerations for their wellbeing.

5.) The puppy/dog has been given a name on the registration papers or paperwork from the litter registration to register new puppy. This name has been selected for identification of top show line dogs. The paperwork must be maintained for the integrity of the animals. This puppy is either already registered or will be registered by you to include the Vom Faehnrich kennel name. This is on the American Kennel Club registration or other European registrations. Changes to the registration are not permissible. Other than the legal name being used for registration; you can create a “call name” for your personal use.

6.) The puppy/dog is eligible to be AKC registered. The registration is “Limited” or does not include breeding rights. In order to obtain ‘Unlimited” status, an additional fee and agreement to have hips an elbows evaluated is necessary for the good of the breed.

 7.) It has been scientifically proven that spaying or neutering before the age of 2 is detrimental to the dog’s health. It can cause Cancer, ligament problems, bone deformations, and more by robbing the body of natural chemicals produced in the bone marrow and necessary for proper development. This warranty is considered void if the spaying or neutering is done prior to age 2.

8.) It is understood that being a live animal, it can be unpredictable over time due to environmental influence. It is understood that Vom Faehnrich is not to be held responsible for any future temperament issues, training faults, or actions. The buyer assumes full responsibility for the dog’s behavior and consequences thereof. The buyer releases Vom Faehnrich, its members and employees from all responsibilities/liabilities resulting from the dogs’ actions beginning from the time of possession.

9.) The buyer is responsible for proper care and responsible upkeep for a German Shepherd puppy. This includes creating carpeted areas for the puppy to have good gripping on floor surfaces, disallowing jumping off furniture such as a bed, disallowing jumping in or out of truck beds or SUV beds, stairs, fence running with other dogs, or any excessive behaviors like these that could injure the developing bones and their ligaments prior to 15 months when the growth plates close.

10.) The buyer is responsible to complete the dewormings and immunizations which may need completion according to the age of the puppy. All age appropriate vetting has been accomplished. The buyer’s vet of choice shall further instruct the buyer.

 The purchase price of $________________ is mutually agreed upon on this date of___________________ The Buyer has knowledge that although this puppy may be “show quality” and structure, that it is not guaranteed for show or breeding. All sales are final. Down payments/deposits are non-refundable. If any provision of this agreement is or becomes void or unenforceable by force of operation of law, the other provisions shall remain valid and enforceable. The entire agreement between parties is contained herein. In the event of a dispute, Illinois will have jurisdiction over the matter in La Salle County under the laws of the State of Illinois.
